Dustin + Karla = Engaged <3

This week I met up with Dustin and Karla in Manhattan Beach to take some of their last pictures as an engaged couple before they get hitched this October!  I’m looking forward to capturing their special day 🙂  But first here’s a couple pics from their love session . . .

1.  Finally got Christian to sleep through a photo shoot so I could get a pic of him in the hat I bought – pic to come next post 🙂

2.  Made it through night one of just baby and I while Joe is away for work 🙁

3.  Christian had his first trip to the mall today 🙂

4.  Had my six week post c-section follow up and have been declared nearly healed!

5.  Started shooting again last week – first client session was the one year shoot of my first baby plan graduate – can’t believe how fast the year went!!

Three . . .

I can hardly believe my beautiful little niece is already three years old . . . seems like just yesterday I was visiting her in the hospital on the day she was born.  Scary since I know the same thing will happen with my own little guy – one day I will wake up and he will be walking and talking and I won’t know where the time has gone.  That is one of the reasons I love taking pictures – to freeze a little moment in time to look back on whenever I choose.  We have been keeping Abby in the afternoons this week while her daycare is closed and she is just so much fun.  A little ball of energy and talking up a storm!  I took her outside today to try and get a few pics of her – of course like every three year old she wanted nothing to do with my camera but I did get one I liked 🙂

I may take her out and try again tomorrow 🙂

1.  Birthday breakfast with my bestie today – I am so blessed to have her in my life <3

2.  Laying in bed with a sleeping baby on my chest

3.  My few photog friends that are always encouraging and helpful and are not one bit competitive – it’s great having people to talk shop with who do not always think you’re out to get them

4.  An adorable onesie for Christian from two of my favorite clients 🙂

5.  My mommy made it home today safely from her business trip

1.  My little guy has been baptized into the Catholic faith – my sweet little gift from God <3

3.  Friends you can always count on to help you even though you know they’re crazy busy with their own life

4.  Overnight shipping with Saturday delivery!

5.  Five hour stretches of sleep the last couple of night – this tired momma is thankful 🙂

The time flies . . .

I cannot believe my little man will be four weeks old tomorrow – the days are just flying by and he is getting so big already.  I just want to freeze time so he’ll stay little forever – except the not sleeping at night part 😛  Here is a recent pic from one of our daily photo shoots – yes this poor little guy gets subjected to almost daily photo shoots – I think he likes it 🙂

1.  Everything is set for Christian’s baptism this weekend 🙂

2.  Four weeks of loving on my little man

3.  Having my mother in law here to visit – she’s a big help with the baby during the day while Joe’s at work

4.  Baby is gaining weight steadily – moved into size 1 diapers today!

5.  Three years of fun and smiles with my niece Abby – can’t believe she turned 3 last week – the time really does fly!!

So blessed . . .

after nine long months of waiting Joe and I were blessed with a healthy baby boy on July 7th at 5:37 pm.  Christian Joe was 8 lbs 4 oz and 19.5 inches long.  We are so in love with our new little guy and are treasuring every moment with him . . .

Our first family photo by my bestie – Erica Adams 🙂  She brought all of her equipment to the hospital when Christian was just 2 days old 🙂

1.  A relatively uneventful pregnancy

2.  How supportive my awesome hubby was during labor  and our stay in the hospital

3.  Meeting my gorgeous baby boy for the first time

4.  Falling more in love with the little guy every day
