Just one . . .

of this little guy at 10 months because I cannot believe our time together is coming to an end 🙁 I know I will see him again but I will surely miss seeing this adorable face every month – the year just flew by!

graces . . .

1. 11 more work days left!
2. Coffee with a friend who loves photography and reading as much as I do – makes for great conversation 🙂
3. Ordered my origami owl necklace – can’t wait to get it! If you’re not familiar with their lockets you need to be 😉
4. Staying caught up on my holiday shoots so far – I am determined not to get behind this year and feel buried!
5. I am pretty much booked to the brim until mid-January! I feel so blessed to be so busy doing what I love <3

Sandy sisters :)

Remember this sweet little princess? Look how much she has grown already! She and big sis were all smiles for their beach session and perfectly coordinated. Their mama always does a great job on their outfits 🙂

graces . . .

1. Survived my first weekend of holiday portraits – barely. Seven shoots in three days all over the valley and south bay
2. Christian has discovered money – he walks around asking everyone for “coins” to put in his bank
3. A lovely afternoon at the mall with my boys <3

4. Had our first pumpkin pie of the season for desert
5.Attended a lovely service Friday evening to say goodbye to a wonderful man – my Uncle Bob <3

Daddy’s girl

This little beauty was a dream to shoot – besides being gorgeous she was full of smiles and personality. Families like this make my job a piece of cake 🙂

I have a pretty big announcement to make as well – on November 2nd I will walk out the doors of corporate america (hopefully for the last time!) and pursue my photography full-time. The last time I made this decision it turned out to be a bad time for my little family so I am hoping my timing is better this go around 🙂 I want to give a huge thank you to my loyal clients for making this possible – I have met so many wonderful families over the years and I look forward to meeting many more in the coming years. I also want to thank my family and especially my husband for their support. Working 70+ hours a week is hard on a home life and my hubby and little guy have been severely neglected, especially this last year. I am looking forward to spending a lot more time with them very soon <3 graces . . . 1. The opportunity to pursue a career that I love 2. My wonderful clients for their business, support and referrals 3. An amazingly supportive husband who has put his dream on hold while I pursue mine <3 4. A holiday portrait season coming up that is full of shoots with my favorite families plus a bunch of new ones! 5. It has finally cooled down a bit this week - fall and the holiday season are my favorite times of year!

Little band of brothers :)

Seems like I’ve had quite a few sets of three brothers lately 🙂 The older two of these brothers have been in front of my camera a few times but this was my first time meeting the littlest guy. He was the happiest little thing I’ve ever seen – all smiles for the camera even when we dipped into nap time a bit 🙂 Check out some of my faves of this gorgeous family . . .

graces . . .

1. Got a Amazon gift card in the mail over the weekend from a client as a thank you – I have such wonderful clients <3 2. Saw some mamas in action today making a difference in the world - always inspiring 3. Had a wonderful weekend away with my boys - had to make the most of my last free weekend for two months! 4. Christian had a blast at Legoland - I will try to post some pics if I ever get around to editing them :) 5. Christian was so cooperative at our family photo shoot Saturday with the amazing Alison – got so many great images of my family and little guy – thank you Alison!!

Fun at the park!

A few weeks ago I had a chance to hang out with this sweet family at the park. It was really crowded but we managed to find a pretty empty area with some gorgeous light. They did a great job color coordinating their outfits without being matchy matchy – very important for family pics! Here are a few of my favorites!

graces . . .

1. Printstagram – make awesome little prints of your Instagram pics for cheap 🙂
2. Finally feeling a little better today after being sick for what feels like foreeeeever
3. Going offline this weekend to spend some time with my litte family before holiday portrait season starts next week and I am booked solid for seven straight weeks
4. Ordered my new Life Planner last night with our family photos from Christian’s two year shoot – can’t wait to get it!
5. Christian has all the little figurines of the Toy Story characters and they go everywhere with us – he calls them his “guys” – too cute!

and just a reminder since I likely won’t post again till next week – my Plum District deal is only up through Sunday night – if you’re planning on a session in the first part of next year be sure to scoop one up! Better discount on the session fee than you’ll ever get directly through me 🙂 Here’s the link if you’re interested 🙂

*note it says 5 days remaining but that is wrong – the link will actually expire in 3!
