Sweetest Sisters

As much as I love my two brothers, I have always wanted a sister – they just seem to share a special bond. These sweet sisters were no exception – they were so cute together. Makes my job easy 😉 Here are a few of my favorites from their session – it was hard to pick just a few to share – there were so many I loved!


My disclaimer again: I’m not a huge fan of black and whites but there are some photos that just scream black and white to me and these two definitely did 🙂

1. Christian LOVES Disneyland now – we have been a few times in the last couple of weeks and it’s so much fun to watch him run up and hug the characters, scream “all aboard” on the choo choo and try new rides <3 2. Valentine minis were a success! Love seeing all of my little clients - they all did great! 3. Spring is on the horizon and so are Spring Minis! Book yours before they’re gone!
4. Off to Camarillo tomorrow to visit my friend and shoot some maternity pics of her and her beautiful family!
5. Celebrating one of my favorite brothers this weekend for his birthday <3

Spring minis!

For some it may be a bit early to think about spring but I cannot wait! Once the holiday season is over I cannot wait for the time change and longer days. That combined with the fact that I am completely booked for February and part of March means that it’s time to get spring minis on the books!

Spring minis are shorter lifestyle sessions at the location of my choice – while I may decide to bring a couple simple props the focus will be on getting great candids of your family and/or kiddos 🙂

What you get: 30 min session and 12 full resolution files to download
Cost: $100 for up to 5 people – if there are more than 5 people in your party you must buy two time slots due to the time constraint

Minis must be paid in full to secure your slot and are non-refundable except in the event you cannot make a rain reschedule. Use the links below to book your slot today!

Red rocking chair :)

Tonight I am reflecting on a rather crummy week filled with lots of sickness and other unpleasant things and I am choosing to feel blessed rather than down. I am blessed to be doing what I love, to have the pleasure of watching families grow and to be able to spend more time with my little guy now that I am shooting full-time. This family is very dear to my heart – I have been photographing them since big brother was just about six months old and this Saturday I am shooting little sister’s 1st birthday party! How quickly the time flies! I loved the little red rocking chair mom brought for their shoot and of course the red converse because chucks are the only thing I wear besides flip flops!

1. A wonderful dinner with my friends tonight to celebrate a special occasion <3 2. Christian's new found love of dinosaurs - Land Before Time was one of my childhood favorites and I am enjoying watching it with him again now 🙂 3. A successful trip to Ikea this morning to get some new blankets for my upcoming newborn shoots 4. Friends that come to your rescue when your little guy is sick and you need someone to shoot a gig for you <3 5. Banana split maki - yummy!!

Almost one!

I can hardly believe this little sweetie was nearly one when we shot these – seems like just yesterday we were trying for hours to get her to sleep for her newborn shots 🙂 Some of my faves from this session:

1. Lunches with my Northrop friends – while I miss seeing them every day I am so glad we keep in touch and have regular lunches. Plus Christian loves seeing his aunties 🙂
2. Gymbucks + coupons = great deal on some clothes for Christian for next year!
3. Chicken flautas from Costco – super yummy especially with guac!
4. My cushy computer glove – absolutely saved me during holiday portrait season when I was having trouble with my wrist
5. Downloaded some awesome new photo apps for my phone 🙂

1. Spent a wonderful day at Disneyland with my boys today <3 2. Christian went on tons of new rides and loved them all - how did he get so big?? Just a year ago he was scared of the tram! 3. El Rocoto for dinner - one of my favorites that I don't get to eat often since it's a pain to drive there 😛 4. Booked a photo session next month for my dad's side of the family - been wanting to do it since Christian was born but it's so hard to coordinate! 5. A very unnecessary but very appreciated thank you card and gift card came in the mail today - looking forward to buying a little something for me - something I rarely do 🙂
