My little blog has been quite neglected lately – I am literally drowning in editing over here and doing my best to catch up – I appreciate everyone’s patience while waiting for proofs. Some of you knew that my hubby was working out of town for a few months – he is back now but taking care of the little guy by myself was a full-time job and he and I were both pretty sick recently so my editing piled up a bit while we recouped. Thankfully we are better now and I am slowly unburying myself!

My time with this little family was one of my favorite recent shoots. I favor candids to posed photos and if I can capture a family interacting naturally and get photos that truly speak their love for each other then I feel I have suceeded in my job. I had so many favorites from this session I could hardly narrow down which to share. Their little beauty was a tad shy at first but warmed up in no time and had lots of fun with mom and dad <3

1. Shot a first birthday party yesterday for these two little beauties – I cannot believe how quickly that year flew by! I feel so blessed to watch this family grow and to call them friends <3 2. The little guy is back to being an angel in restaurants - we had a rough few months where I thought we'd never be able to take him out again! Thankfully that phase seems to have passed 🙂 3. All of Christian's cute little sayings - he cracks me up daily. I really should be documenting them so I can laugh later remembering! 4. Two new baby planners will be gracing the blog soon! If you're expecting a baby and are interested in capturing their first year be sure to ask about my first year plans for a great deal 🙂 5. Speaking of babies - expecting 8 babies in the next few months for newborn sessions! Can't wait to capture all of the sweet newness!

If you have followed my blog you may recognize these guys from last year. I got to hang out with them again recently and this time I got to meet more of their beautiful family 🙂 If you have not taken pictures with your extended family I highly recommend it. I know it’s hard to get everyone together but you will not regret it 🙂 I had so many favorites from my time with these guys it was hard to narrow down what to share!

1. Spring minis are a wrap! So much fun seeing so many of my regular subjects and meeting some awesome new families 🙂 Now on to the editing!
2. The return of my lattes after Lent <3 3. Bubblefest at the Discovery Science Center – amazing show and the kids had tons of fun
4. Nearly booked through June – I have to admit I was nervous about leaving the full-time job in pursuit of my photography but I feel so blessed to continue to be busy and to have more time with my little guy <3 5. Thankful for my hubby who works hard to allow number 4 🙂
