A sweet family and their pup :)

This family has been in front of my camera a few times – I think this might be my favorite of their sessions. It’s so fun to photograph the same families over the years and watch their kiddos grow and change. This little guy is so silly and fun – he reminds me of my Christian – and his sister is super sweet and such a natural beauty – makes my job easy 😉

graces . . .

1. Breaking Bad – hubby talked me into watching it and while it’s not Dexter good it’s definitely worth watching
2. Headed to the snow tomorrow – little guy’s first time!
3. Finally caught up a bit on my editing so I can leave the house without feeling guilty that I’m not working 😛
4. My new Life Planner has been ordered!
5. Started my new 365 project today – this year I will be just using my cell phone – the goal of last years was to take more pics of the little guy with my big camera – this year the goal is just to capture little moments from each day 🙂

Hello 2014!!

Holiday portrait season 2013 is officially over and I made it through – just barely. I have a couple of slower weeks before sessions pick back up in 2014 and during that time I will try to get some of my favorite holiday sessions up on the blog. This session was one of my last before the holiday season started and was by far one of my favorite sessions of 2013. Adorable family, soft evening light, low tide – if you’ve never been to RAT beach in the last hour or so before sunset it’s definitely a must. You might recognize this family from their session last year – here are some of my favorites from their more recent session 🙂

graces . . .

1. Survived another crazy busy holiday portrait season!
2. Christian loved everything about Christmas this year – so much fun to celebrate Christmas through a child’s eyes
3. My 365 project is coming to an end – while I didn’t do a very good job of keeping up my blog I did keep up with my pics minus a few days so I’ll definitely be making a little book for Christian to keep from the year 🙂 Still haven’t decided if I will do another this coming year
4. Finally saw the movie Frozen – great movie and Christan sat still through the whole thing so he must of liked it even though he declared after that it was for girls 😛
5. Looking forward to a new year and a fresh start in our new home <3

a very wet session!

My session with this adorable family fell on an overcast day and it wasn’t all that warm but that didn’t stop their two little guys from getting soaked and having fun!

graces . . .

1. Listening to Joe reading to Christian before bed – such a great dada <3 2. Mini oreos - everything is better mini! 3. Chocolate chai lattes from Starbucks - yummy! Hope they keep them around after the holiday season! 4. Approaching the end of my fifth year in business this weekend - thinking I will celebrate with a sale! 5. Finally cold enough for footie jammies! Little guy looks so stinking cute in them 🙂

Lollipops and cars :)

This family was equal parts fun and adorable! It was my first time meeting them but I knew from our emailing back and forth that I would love them. Big brother who was really still a baby himself was just so sweet with his sister and they were both so cute! I had a really hard time narrowing down a few to share.

little guy got a lollipop towards the end and was in heaven!

graces . . .

1. Had a wonderful lunch with my work besties today – Christian loves his aunties and they certainly spoil him rotten. So glad we are able to visit them often!
2. Had a great conversation with one of my favorite photogs and mentors today – so thankful for the amazing photogs who have helped me along the way.
3. Holiday portrait season is officially booked! Looking forward to seeing all of my regulars and meeting some awesome new families as well!
4. Thankful for my sweet little guy who is so well behaved when we are out and about. People are always commenting on his behavior when we are out to eat or in the store etc. I am a proud mama <3 5. My sweet hubby who works so hard to provide for us and allow me to pursue my dream and spend more time with Christian - I don't tell him enough how much I appreciate him and how much we miss him while he's at work so he deserves a blog shout-out <3

and baby makes four!

Remember this little guy?? He’s a big brother now and I got to spend some time at his house recently to take some belated two year pics and some of shots of the new little guy. Aren’t they a gorgeous family?!

graces . . .

1. Cheap holiday crafts from Target – fun for mama and Christian!
2. Instagram video – finally checked it out today and love it 🙂
3. Origrami Instagram prints – awesome!
4. Got home just before the rain today – I hate being out in the rain
5. Lunch with my work besties tomorrow!
