Sweetest Sisters

This was my first time meeting this family and their two little girls were so adorable. We had perfect evening light and the beach was surprising uncrowded for a summer evening. I had so many favorites from this session it was hard to pick just a few to share 🙂

graces . . .

1. Holiday portrait season is among us! Already had a few full holiday sessions and the first day of fall minis is this Sunday!!
2. My baby is 10 months old! How the heck did that happen? 1st birthday party planning is in full swing!
3. Christian started TK a few weeks ago and has done so well with the transition. He loves his new school 🙂
4. Pumpking everything is starting to come out in stores and coffee shops!
5. Ellie did a fun catalog shoot for Mimi & Maggie about a month ago and the clothes are just darling – one of my new favorite brands for sure!

Beachy brothers!

Remember this little guy?! He is quite a bit older now and a big brother 🙂 I have hung out with his family a few times since our first session but we all know how good I am at keeping this poor blog up 😛 This was probably my favorite session of theirs to date and they brought grandma and grandpa along again to get in a few pics!

graces . . .

1. Survived the beginning of July birthdays! The first two weeks of July are super hectic for us with three important family birthday – this time we threw a kinder graduation in the mix too which made for an extra busy few weeks!
2. Fall minis are over 2/3rds full already! So crazy to be nearly booked up for the year in July – these next few months will be busy busy!
3. Ellie has almost mastered her pincher grasp and more of her food is getting in her mouth than on the floor now 😛
4. Snuck in a quick movie with my boys last weekend while baby hung with grandma – I haven’t been to the movies since I was pregnant!
5. School supplies are out at Target! New school supplies are one of my favorite things to buy 🙂

FIVE!!!

My sweet little guy,

You are asleep now after a long day of celebrating your birthday – 5 is a big one so we have been celebrating all week! I was telling dada tonight on the way home that after long days like today I sit and think about how quickly the years seem to have flown even when the days are long and sometimes hard. You graduated from preschool a couple of weeks ago and it honestly feels like I was just dropping you off for your first day not long ago. This is a big year of change for you – you became a big brother (a darn good one!) and will be leaving the school you have attended the last 2.5 years in August and will be heading to transitional kindergarten! You continue to breeze through transitions much easier than mama – I was worried about how you’d take to having a new baby in the house after 4.5 years of being an only child but there has been nothing but love since day one. You are so sweet with your sister – you are so patient with her and are always talking to her and making her laugh and you brag about her to your friends or anyone who will listen really. She just lights up when she sees you – she loves you just as much as you love her. I love watching the two of you interact and I hope that you will continue to be good friends growing up.

Your favorite person remains your “best friend” dada – you love the nights he is home and the two of you will play outside for hours racing your scooters, hunting for rocks or exploring. The two of you are obsessed with your Ipads as well and play them together every chance you get. You don’t watch much tv these days since you prefer to save your screen time for your “pad” but when you do you love Jake, Blaze and the Monster Machines, Octonauts and continue to like Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and Max and Ruby as well. Your obsession with all things dinosaur continues and you still play with your trains and cars most days as well. You’re getting to be a good little Lego builder which makes mama happy because I love Legos too 🙂 You love listening to the Beat Buds in the car and have most of the songs memorized – you were so excited to have them come play at your birthday party last week! Your favorite place to be besides anywhere with dada is grandma’s house – you ask to go there almost daily and especially love the days your cousins are there. You can just about keep up with them on your bike now! It is so much fun to watch you learn and grow every day – you are such a smart little guy and such a sweetheart – I know there are great things ahead for you in this life. Mama, Dada and Ellie girl are your biggest fans and we will always be here cheering you on whatever you might do <3 Happy Birthday baby boy - we love you so much!

Sweet Siblings

This was my first time hanging with this gorgeous family and the two littles were just so cute and so sweet together. It was so hard picking just a few to share – there were so many shots I loved 🙂

graces . . .

1. My little guy had such a great time at his party Sunday and was extra spoiled by our friends and family – he is blessed to be surrounded by so many amazing people <3 2. Took Christian for his first barber shop haircut Saturday - he looked in the mirror and declared he looked like Uncle Josh 🙂 3. Currently plotting fall mini dates - I can hardly believe it's almost that time again! 4. My little miss is finally eating solids after about a month of refusing anything I gave her. 5. My little man graduated from preschool last week - how is that possible?! I cried through the whole ceremony 🙁
